What Happened to the Ghosts of My House?
’m sure everyone has heard of the empty nest syndrome. I guess all parents experience that feeling of sadness when the children leave home.
As a parent of two children with ages close together my nest emptied quickly and it was a difficult time for me. You become so involved as a parent taking care of your children you really don’t know what to do when they leave the nest.

I’m sure everyone has heard of the empty nest syndrome. I guess all parents experience that feeling of sadness when the children leave home.
As a parent of two children with ages close together my nest emptied quickly and it was a difficult time for me. You become so involved as a parent taking care of your children you really don’t know what to do when they leave the nest.
When my children left home I realized I didn’t just lose my children, but the three ghosts that resided in my home as well. The ghosts are not like the one’s written about in the “Christmas Carol,” but they can be just as annoying.
When things happened in the house, like something being broken, missing or other annoying incidents that occurred, you could bet on the fact that one of the three ghosts residing in our home was to blame.
Ghosts number one was usually the one called on the most when something happened.
If it wasn’t ghost number one, the ghost number two would get the blame. Of course, if it wasn’t ghost one or two then ghost number three would get the blame. Ironically, you could blame them but they would never admit they were the blame.
Living alone, I never gave much thought to the ghost being there or not being there. I spent years not even thinking about the ghosts. Then one day I realized they were gone.
I’m sure those same three ghosts probably haunt most homes, especially homes when children live. I’m also sure that most parents and grandparents know these ghosts very well and have had them haunting their homes for years without giving much thought to the fact the ghosts are even in the home.
These three ghosts are very irresponsible, can not be counted on to tell the truth and almost always show a lack of concern when things happen and show a complete lack of concern about any consequences of their actions.
If you have children and have never been haunted by these ghosts, consider yourself very lucky. If you have experienced the haunting of these ghosts you will completely understand why I have named them.
Yes, I have a name for the ghosts. Ghost number one is named, “I didn’t do it.” Ghost number two is name “It wasn’t me,” and number three has the name of “I don’t know.”
There you have the three most common ghosts that haunt most homes in America, come to think of probably around the world.
Now, I only have to worry about one ghost in my home, and I’ve named him, “Can’t blame anyone but me.” Come to think of it, maybe, just for my own benefit, I need the three ghosts to move back in.
